From the coast, near which the palm alley is located, there is a beautiful view of the Taurus Mountains.

Attractions

Due to the small size of the village, there are very few attractions here. The key one is Caravanserai. In the 13th century, it served as a shelter for caravans traveling to Antalya from Konya from Alaie.

Many tourists may be curious to see city mosque, central square village with a fountain, a monument to its founders and a clock tower.

On Wednesdays, a large market is held in Avsallar. The market is located near the coast and is open only once a week. Here they sell vegetables, fruits, aromatic spices, textiles, clothing, and inexpensive jewelry. It's best to come here early in the morning.

Local markets

Every Wednesday the village hosts a large bazaar where vegetables, fruits, aromatic seasonings, textiles, clothing, and inexpensive jewelry are sold. It is best to come here in the morning, as it gets very hot and stuffy in the afternoon. According to many tourists, prices are significantly lower in Konakli.

Like all Mediterranean resorts in Turkey, Avsallar offers tourists a large selection of historical and entertainment excursions not only throughout the country, but also abroad, for example to Israel. But I don’t think it’s worth talking about all the excursions, since there are really a lot of them. I will talk about those that do not involve long journeys and are located in close proximity to the resort.

First of all, it’s worth saying that buying excursions is also not a simple matter, which needs to be approached seriously. First of all, you should know that when purchasing almost any excursion through your tour operator from your hotel guide, you are guaranteed to overpay a fairly large amount. For example, I can say that a boat trip, which costs fifteen dollars at any travel agency on the street, will cost from thirty to forty-five dollars at a hotel. And in order to sell you such expensive excursions, hotel guides resort to any deception, saying that only their excursions are insured, and for everyone else, all trips are associated with a risk to life and other nonsense. After meeting with the guide, some tourists, naturally from among those who came to Turkey for the first time, leaving the hotel on the street are afraid to stop at shops or say hello, as if they were not in Turkey, but in Syria. Therefore, I want to warn those who are planning to visit Turkey for the first time - do not listen to fairy tales and fragments from horror films that the guides will tell you, ninety percent of what is said is not true.

As for street travel agencies. There is quite a large selection, but the majority work with more large companies, such as Ginza Travel or Maxwell, which provide trips to Pamukkale, Demre-Mira-Kekova and so on. For simpler excursions, each agency enters into contracts with companies involved in conducting excursions individually. The agencies themselves do not personally conduct excursions, but simply attract tourists, who are then handed over to the organizers. Therefore, there is no big difference in the excursions themselves and the prices for almost all are the same. If you decide to visit longer excursions, I advise you to take them from those agencies that work with the Ginza Travel company. This is one of the oldest and most tested in Turkey, all the guides are high-level professionals.

Of the closer and more public excursions, the most notable is a yacht trip.
Different agencies can negotiate with the owners of different yachts and even with departure from different ports, but usually the departure is from Alanya Marina. It all happens as follows. After purchasing the excursion, on the appointed day and time you gather near the agency office or at the exit of the hotel, from where a minibus picks you up and takes you to the port where the yacht is waiting for you. Next you take a walk along the sea with stops at interesting and picturesque bays, where you are given time to swim. After this you have lunch on the yacht, according to the principle buffet and continue your walk.
This excursion lasts from approximately ten o'clock in the morning until four or five in the evening. As a rule, there is an animator on the yacht who entertains tourists throughout the trip. The cost is around fifteen dollars. Eat evening walks, but this already includes a disco on board the yacht, possibly a foam one, where drinks are offered. This walk ends around three in the morning, and the cost can be around forty-five dollars. I call approximate prices, since agencies negotiate with different yachts, which is why the price may be different.

An interesting excursion is rafting, that is, rafting down a mountain river.
This rafting is carried out on the Manavgat River, which is not very far from the Avsallar resort. For this excursion, tourists come here even from such remote resorts as Camyuva or Tekirova, who have to travel more than two hundred kilometers. Many even take children as young as five with them, as there are several difficulty levels of the river rapids. Therefore, if you have children, you should not refuse such an exciting excursion. Departure in the morning around nine o'clock and return in the evening. The cost is fifteen dollars, which includes lunch.

Diving enthusiasts can go scuba diving in the most interesting places on this coast.
The program is similar to a boat trip. In the morning you are picked up and taken to the port, where you board the yacht. Next, instructions are given, and you make the first dive to a depth of four to five meters, lasting about twenty minutes. After this, you have lunch, relax and make a second dive, but to a greater depth and for a longer time.
The tour lasts from nine in the morning to five in the evening. The cost is around thirty-five to forty dollars. Your friends or relatives who went with you, but did not dive, but were present as guests and vacationers on the yacht, pay fifteen dollars, which also includes lunch.

If we talk about independent excursions, then I think it’s worth visiting the city of Side, where the ruins are located ancient city, the construction of which dates back to the second century BC and the amphitheater.
Among the buildings there are many interesting objects, such as the Temple of Apollo, the Agora, the Temple of Artemis, the Arched Gate and many buildings of antiquity that are no less attractive from an architectural point of view. The photos taken in Side will be simply amazing. In addition, the city has a wonderful museum of Ancient art. It is located at: Liman Cd. and is open daily from 9.00 to 19.00. The cost of admission is four dollars. You can get to Side by dolmus coming from Alanya. The distance is about forty kilometers, and the fare is about five dollars.

In the opposite direction is the city of Alanya, which is a little more than twenty kilometers away. The city also has quite a lot of attractions, among which the visiting card of Alanya is the medieval fortress. In terms of size, it is one of the largest in Turkey. It is now a museum and admission is five dollars. You can also get to Alanya by dolmus, which costs about four dollars.

And this is only a small part of what you can see while relaxing in Avsallar; it will take more than one week to explore just the nearby attractions, so when you come here, you yourself will be able to determine more interesting excursions for yourself.
