The small terminal matches the status of the airport. Its area is only about 2000 square meters. meters, although everything necessary for a comfortable stay for passengers is provided here: several cafes, ATMs, duty free and a first-aid post. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the terminal.

The airport terminal in Alanya is quite compact

The nearest major airport to Alanya, besides Gazipasa, is located. And although the distance from Antalya Airport to Alanya is about 120 km, travelers still often prefer to get there.

Transport from the airport

From Gazipasa Airport you can get to Alanya and nearby resorts by regular Havas buses, taxis or rented cars. Let's look at each option in more detail.

Taxi from the airport to Alanya, Mahmutlar and other resorts

As in many airports around the world, you can find a taxi in Alanya right at the airport upon arrival of your flight. However, this is fraught with risks and is not always justified.

Firstly, the airport itself is small and there are often cases when there are simply no cars at the terminal or they have been taken away by more efficient passengers. Secondly, the check for a tourist can be frankly overpriced. Finally, it’s rare that a taxi driver speaks English clearly, let alone Russian.

It is better to order a taxi in Alanya online

Therefore, in Turkey, like nowhere else in the world, the service of ordering a taxi online [link] to board your flight is popular. In this case, you will know in advance the exact amount to pay, and in the arrivals area you will be met by a driver holding a sign with your name.

In this case, the service independently monitors the airport board and sends a car to the arrival of the flight.

Therefore, even if the plane is delayed, the wait is included in the price and there is no need to pay extra for being late. Finally, if you wish, you can order a large car if you are traveling with a group, or even a whole minibus.

Taking into account the convenience, prices for ordering a taxi via the Internet are quite reasonable. The cost of a car to the city center starts from only 38 Euros, and a minibus for 13 passengers will cost a little more than 60.

Buses to Alanya

You can also get from Alanya Airport to the bus station in the city by special Havas buses. Their departures are tied to arrival internal flights, and usually buses leave from the stop in Gazipasa 20-30 minutes after the next plane lands.

The travel time by bus to the center of Alanya is about an hour, and the cost of the trip is 20 liras.

On the way to Alanya, buses pass Kargicak, Mahmutlar, Kestel, Tosmur and Obu, so if you need to leave earlier, you can discuss this with the driver.

Havas buses are easily identified by their distinctive livery

If Alanya is not the end point of your trip, then from the bus station you can go to the desired resort by local flights or taxi.

In the opposite direction - from Alanya to the airport - buses depart from the city bus station 4-6 times a day, depending on the day of the week.

If you decide to use this method, then withdraw lira from an ATM at the airport in advance or exchange the required amount, because on the bus itself the exchange rate is extremely unfavorable.

Car rental at Alanya airport

Alanya Airport's small terminal does not have room for a good selection of car rentals, but this is not necessary. The car may well be delivered to the arrival of your flight.

You can find out the current prices and conditions for car rental in Alanya for the dates of your trip through the largest car rental comparison service in the world, Rentalcars [link]. It is good because it tracks the conditions of many operators at once, and this helps to find the most profitable option easier and faster.

Let’s immediately make a reservation that since there is little choice at the airport itself, it is better to immediately look for alternatives in Alanya itself or at your resort. Consider possible options and order a car online

The most popular bus company is Akdeniz, tickets can be bought directly at the ticket office. Come up, ask for a ticket, check the time and give your passport or ikamet, pay 25 liras in cash or by card and wait on the platform opposite. It is important to buy your ticket at the box office.

Akdeniz office in Alanya

There are a lot of touts at the station who may offer to pay the driver's fare in cash - we do not recommend doing this. Such trips go past the ticket office, it is very likely that along the way someone will be found with an “official” ticket for your place and you will have to travel standing for 2.5 hours - not very pleasant. The buses do not have route numbers - only signs with the destination on the glass.

It is worth saying that buses in Turkey are very comfortable - screens with headphones are built into the back of the seat, employees serve coffee or tea, there is free unlimited water and even free sockets where you can charge your phone.

It's always clean inside; in addition to the driver, there is also an assistant who periodically walks through the cabin, picks up trash and delivers drinks.

How long to go

The trip will take approximately 3 hours, on the way, the bus sometimes stops for 10 minutes in the city of Manavgat, where you can go to the toilet and have a snack.

In Antalya itself it has 2 stops - near the airport and the final one at the bus station (Antalya Otogar). Along the way you will enjoy beautiful scenery - mountains, sea and palm trees.

From Mahmutlar

If you are traveling to Antalya from Mahmutlar, you can buy a ticket and take the bus near the local Akdeniz office - no need to go to the station.

The office is located in the center of Mahmutlar - you need to go from the intersection with the clock towards the sea. When you reach the highway, turn right and you will see a bus stop - right behind it, on the ground floor is the Akdeniz office.

From ANTALYA to Alanya

Buses depart from Antalya Orogar Bus Station every hour from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm. You can buy a ticket at the Akdeniz office.

We warn you that it is better to buy tickets a little in advance if you want to catch the next flight. There were times when we had to wait for the next bus. But if you need to leave urgently, and Akdeniz doesn’t have tickets, ask other carriers. It may be 5-10 liras more expensive, but you will leave quickly.

Antalya train station is large and there is a lot to do here. There are cafes, souvenir shops and a bookstore. The final stop is the same bus station in Alanya. Ticket price is 25 liras.

By sea

In theory, you can find a boat at the pier, negotiate with the owner and sail to Antalya by sea. We don’t know the cost, but if you happen to be swimming, write your reviews in the comments. Still have questions? Write below - we will answer! Have a nice holiday!

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word "vacation"? Of course, Türkiye! I want to land in welcoming Antalya as quickly as possible! And, preferably, immediately after receiving your luggage, get to your hotel, without wasting a lot of time driving along the coast, traffic jams and visits to all sorts of hot spots along the way.

Imagine! The vacation schedule has been approved. You know when the long-awaited vacation will happen. You already feel how the sea caresses your mortal body, hear the cry of seagulls and the sound of the surf, feel in your hands that same cocktail “with an umbrella” that you saw in the advertisement. Ah, this suitcase mood! With sparkling eyes, you plunge into the vastness of the Internet in search of the much-desired tour.

Which resort should you choose? How much time are you willing to spend on the road from Antalya Airport to your desired hotel? What type of transport will you use to get to the desired location? Maybe this is a “package” bus transfer with a bunch of fellow travelers? Or should you save money and travel with everyone else without spending money on a taxi or private transfer?

Let's figure it out. It’s not for nothing that they say, “forewarned is forearmed”!

Let's start from the beginning. The international airport is not located in the city of Antalya itself, but 10 km east of it. Therefore, even if you choose to relax on one of the beautiful beaches of Antalya, you still won’t be able to get to your hotel on foot, unless, of course, you are an adventurer with a backpack on your back or a marathon runner.

Let's take it as an axiom that you are a “package” tourist who has the opportunity to use a bus transfer or an individual car transfer. We will build on this when calculating travel time from the airport to the hotel.

Antalya.

Please note that if you want to get to your hotel as quickly as possible, then a resort located in one of the districts of Antalya is the most optimal solution. After all, the journey to the hotel will take about 20 minutes! Agree, isn’t this the dream of every tourist to wash away fatigue and everyday worries into the sea as quickly as possible, and immerse himself in the resort atmosphere and All Inclusive?

Belek.

This is the case when it’s not far to go, and the place is gorgeous. By the way, pay attention to the word “chic”. It perfectly describes this resort, both in terms of the cost of the holiday, and the richness of the flora and fauna, the splendor of the beaches and the level of service. A pleasant bonus is the proximity to the airport (34 km) and only a little more than half an hour of waiting for your arrival in the earthly paradise.

Kemer.

Can you imagine yourself on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea at the foot of the Taurus Mountains among mind-intoxicating subtropical flora? Great! After all, the resort area of Kemer is not only the city itself with a name so dear to the hearts of most Russians, but also a number of villages - Beldibi, Goynuk, Chamyuva, Kirish, Tekirova! Here it’s up to you to decide what’s dearer to your heart – Beldibi and the travel time from the airport by bus is 40 minutes, or the extreme point of the village of Tekirova, where you’ll have to travel for at least an hour and a half.

Side.

You will have to overcome about 70 km to immerse yourself in the bliss of the Side resort, in its leisurely rhythm and tranquility. In time it is about one and a half hours. But it’s not critical, right?

Alanya.

And here is the leader of our, so to speak, rating of “which resort is farthest from the airport.” Meet! The most affordable and therefore the most favorite resort of Russian tourists is Alanya! Be patient, put yourself in a good mood, and look forward to your vacation! Then these almost 140 km of travel will seem like mere nonsense to you compared to the positive that awaits you at the end of the three-hour journey!

Time, as you know, is a relative concept. You always need to be prepared not only for the fact that you will have to look out of the bus window at the hotels where the “package” bus will stop, dropping off “package” tourists like you, but there are also possible stops to “smoke and recover.” Well, force majeure has not been canceled. So, feel free to add at least another half hour to the time indicated above.

But you will be mentally prepared, and nothing will spoil your mood from a possibly long drive through the beauty of the Antalya coast. Moreover, you can always book with a tour operator and avoid these unnecessary delays on your way to your cherished vacation. But in this case the budget will have to be increased.

The information you will find in the article will also help you when purchasing a tour.
