Bus tours around Europe castles. Castles of Europe

It was a wonderful excursion, my daughter and I enjoyed it, Yulia did an excellent job of guiding both the route and the excursion. The weather was a little let down, it got dark early, but you can’t predict it :)
I recommend it, it’s especially good as a first guided tour of Moscow - easy, interesting and lively

A good walking tour in the very center of Moscow. I learned a lot about the architecture of buildings that I often passed or drove by, but now I know all the details of their construction, the history of their owners. This format, not large groups and there were about 10 of us, will suit many who are interested in the history of Moscow, schoolchildren who have already begun to study the history of Russia, and of course those who like to comprehend and discover new experiences))). Yuli, thank you very much for your competent and interesting presentation material, energetically, with humor at a pace to get everything done, we had a wonderful day!!!

Everything is great

I would like, while still under the impression of the excursion, to tell you where we went today and what we saw.
And today there was a meeting with Moscow castles... yes... yes... you heard right...
I am a native Muscovite, I know it well historical places Moscow, and the excursion with Yulia was of interest because friends recommended it, and I hoped to learn new facts. And I was not mistaken in choosing a guide!
Julia explained the features of the Art Nouveau style so clearly that now you can crack it like nuts.
Now walking around your hometown will be much more interesting and distinguish between different styles: Art Nouveau, Constructivism, Stalinist Empire, Post-Soviet Art Nouveau.
Another interesting feature of Yulina’s excursion is the task cards. Find out your building, write down information about it. And this building is already becoming a home)). Now we’ll know him for sure out of thousands)).
And, of course, I would like to note that it’s nice to listen to a guide who speaks beautiful, lively Russian, and who talks about my hometown with passion and love!
Many thanks to Yulechka. My sister and I were pleased! We will come back for other excursions.

Good afternoon.
A wonderful tour of Amsterdam gave hope for the possibility of a tour of Moscow.
The group consisted of 21 people. This is a lot for such an excursion. Snacking takes up daylight hours and viewing architecture without daylight becomes meaningless. For food and toilet it is necessary to arrange family excursions and honestly write about it in the description. And I wouldn’t want a biased attitude))). It is better to express it, but not to impose it. More suitable for schoolchildren))

Hello, Olga! Thank you for your feedback)
The fact is that the description of the Excursion indicates the possible number of participants - 20 people. I assume that you could expect this number of people and immediately understand whether the format suits you group excursions or not. I do the same individual excursions along different routes. I would also be grateful if you suggest how to make sure that people don’t want to go to the toilet during the Excursion. Unfortunately, this stop is necessary for physiological reasons, and the decision to pause was made by the majority. I think it would be much worse if the lack of access to the toilet would lead to a disaster on the route. The stop did not stop us from looking at the architecture; we only looked at the last mansion at dusk, and it suited him very well. Regarding personal opinion: we are all adults, and we understand that our opinion may not coincide with someone else’s, what can we do? I can’t conduct a survey in advance and find out what you like and what you don’t, and adapt to you. In the end, it turns out that there were too many people who interfered and they all want to go to the toilet (how could it be otherwise!), the setting sun (this cannot be stopped!), and your opinion, which did not coincide with mine. Not a word about the route or the guide - then why the rating 2? And what does Amsterdam have to do with it? :)

Julia is an excellent storyteller, the material is presented vividly, imaginatively and at the same time quite systematically, easily remembered. The route is interesting and eventful, I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Yesterday we went on an excursion “in search of Moscow castles”. There were 9 of us. Both adults and children 10-14 years old. Everyone really liked it. You can hear the guide perfectly. There was enough space for everyone (groups of up to 20 people). The story was interesting and multifaceted. We will definitely go on another excursion with Yulia.

Thank you very much for a great walk and an interesting story about Moscow castles! And also for giving me the opportunity to feel like, at least for a short time, the owner of one of these beautiful mansions!)

Definitely recommend! This is the second time I’ve gone on excursions with Yulia, and the second time I’ve enjoyed her interesting, dynamic stories. The route is laid out conveniently and logically. Every detail has been thought through. And most importantly, everything is done so that guests are left with a wonderful aftertaste from the excursion)

An original theme, a well-thought-out route and, in fact, I liked everything. Thanks Yulia!

Many thanks to Yulia. It turned out to be an easy and interesting adventure.

I really liked it! It was interesting, lively and very educational. Yulia is great, well done))

290 reviews of other tour guides

Hello Elvira!
First of all, I was very glad to meet you and your company again yesterday. Thanks again for the gift from Lusha.
Secondly, your attitude and review, which spoils the statistics, is completely incomprehensible, if yesterday I already answered all the questions. It looks like an obsessive desire to defend one’s innocence in public.
So, you are my first excursionist in the two years of existence of this route who decided that the guide should pay for the tea party. There is not a word about this in the description of the Excursion. I brought you to the establishment, advised you to take tea, you didn’t do this, is it the guide’s fault that there was no tea?
I will note that sometimes I have groups of children of 15 people, if I feed everyone with pies, give them tea and give each a gift, then I will go into the red. I already work below the market cost of such services, simply because I love my profession and children. If you really wanted to give your child tea, why didn’t you do it yourself? It seems that you wanted to gain these 150-200 rubles at my expense. If I knew that this was so important for you and would lead to such negativity, I would even pay for you, although I don’t think it’s right.
Now about the time. The excursion lasts 2.5-3 hours. I didn’t shorten anything from it, and we finished not an hour earlier, as you write, but half an hour earlier, I only removed the second part of the tasks - children are 5-6 years old, the second part is beyond their strength.
By the way, the description of the Excursion says that it is intended for children over 7 years old. You read about the tea party, but not about the age of the children. Shortening the excursion for children of this age made perfect sense.

We love Moscow, this is not the first time we have walked around the city with our children and Yulia. And every time the children ask to go for a walk with her. I think that says a lot. Traveling with Yulia along Nikolskaya is wonderful, as are the rest of her routes. Informative, easy and creative. Thanks to Yulia and Tripster! And YES, we love Moscow.

A trip to Picardy is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the origins of the Frankish kingdom and look into the era of the legendary Merovingian kings. Ancient Senlis is the capital of the Frankish kingdom, a city of Gothic cathedrals whose spiers dominate ancient, light-colored cobblestone streets and picturesque stone medieval houses. The tour of the historical center of Senlis includes a visit to Cathedral and an external inspection of the monastery, founded in the 12th century by the daughter of Yaroslav the Wise, Anna Yaroslavna, who became the wife of the French king Henry I. Transfer to the city of Rouen - the city of the Vikings, ancient capital Normandy and the modern capital of the Haute-Normandie region. Rouen is one of the largest, oldest and most beautiful cities France. Overnight at a 3* hotel in Rouen or in the surrounding area.

Day 2. Fecamp - Etretat - Deauville
Departure to Fécamp, a charming Norman coastal town famous for its ancient abbey and the famous Benedictine liqueur, which was invented here by local monks many centuries ago. During the visit, for an additional fee, there is a tasting of the signature liqueur at the Palais Bénédictine castle. Moving to Etretat is the most beautiful place The "Alabaster Coast" of the English Channel, which gets its name from the chalk mountains and white waters that characterize this part of Normandy. A walk along the half-timbered streets and the coast, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the famous steep chalk cliffs “Needle” and “Triple Arch”, which Claude Monet, Eugene Delacroix, Camille Corot, Eugene Boudin loved to depict in their canvases. Travel to Deauville - luxury resort on the banks of the English Channel with the widest sandy beach and the famous boardwalk with “signature” cinematic booths. City of aristocrats, casinos and romantic stories, inspired by the cult film by Claude Lelouch “A Man and a Woman”. Overnight at a 3* hotel in Mont Saint-Michel or in the surrounding area.

Day 3. Mont Saint Michel - Saint Malo - Angers
Start of the day at Mont Saint Michel. The Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel is a real pearl of medieval Gothic, an island - an abbey, an island - a mirage on a granite rock among quicksand, rapid ebbs and flows, one of the pilgrimage shrines of the Christian world. Mont Saint-Michel is included in the list of UNESCO sites and has no analogues in the world for its combination of architectural merits, mystical history and natural uniqueness. The abbey, dedicated to Michael the Archangel, has been rising on the mountain since the 7th century and all these centuries has attracted the curious, the suffering and the faithful. Today Mont Saint-Michel is the second most visited place in France after Paris. Moving to Saint-Malo - a fortress city, the eternal rival of the Norman Mont Saint-Michel, the refuge of formidable corsairs, the place of the most powerful ebbs and flows in Europe, the birthplace of the discoverer of Canada, Jacques Cartier. The program includes a walking tour of Intra Muros - ancient city, enclosed in a ring of fortress walls, from which a beautiful sea panorama and views of ancient forts open. After the tour, you can buy real Breton souvenirs and delicacies in the shops of the city. Transfer to Angers, walking tour of the historical center of English city France, which became the cradle and “second capital” of the English royal Plantagenet dynasty. A majestic fortress with 15 formidable bastions has reigned over the city and the river for many centuries, the foundation of which was laid in the 9th century, defending itself from the attacks of the Normans, by the warlike and cruel owner of these places - Fulk Nerra, Count of Anjou. The city has always been at the crossroads of wars from the pre-Roman era to the Second World War, which miraculously spared the city. Overnight at a 3* hotel in Angers.

Day 4 Usset - Azay-le-Rideau - Villandry - Paris
Transfer to the Usset Castle - one of the great castles of the Loire Valley, where tourists from Russia are still infrequent guests. With its mystical beauty, the castle inspired the storyteller Charles Perrault to create “The Sleeping Beauty,” combining the power of a medieval fortress of the 10th century and the openwork romance of the Renaissance. During the time of Joan of Arc, it belonged to Agnes Sorel, the first official mistress of the king in French history. The castle has a magnificent and very valuable collection of furniture. The royal chambers preserve the appearance of the 18th century. The castle houses a rich collection of weapons, beautiful antique Flemish tapestries and paintings by Italian Renaissance masters. The visit includes a tour of the castle and independent walk according to him famous park. Transfer to the castle of Azay-le-Rideau, a masterpiece of the early Renaissance, built on an island in the middle of the Indre on stilts driven into the river bed. The construction process was supervised by Philippa Lebay, the wife of Gilles Berthelot, treasurer of King Francis I. Most likely, the castle owes its graceful external towers, tapering upward, and an elegant staircase, the landings of which are decorated with paired Italian loggia windows, to her taste. Visit to the castle. The elegant Castle of Villandry, dating back to the Renaissance, rises near the Loire. The Villandry Gardens are a striking example of French park art. They are located on three levels, which rise one above the other. Upper level is a water mirror. The middle terrace “Garden of Love” is located on the same level as the halls of the first floor, and the lower terrace is occupied by a stylized vegetable garden. The tour program includes a walk through the Villandry gardens. Moving to Paris. Overnight at a hotel in Paris.

Czech medieval castleŽleby is located near the town of Kutna Hora, 110 km from Prague. Zhleby has an excellent location - on the banks of the Dubrava River. That is why the castle got its name: from the Czech word “zhlaba”, which means “mouth of the river”.

Duchtsov Castle

Duchtsov, namesti Republiky, 202/9

Duchtsov Castle is one of the most interesting places, which are worth visiting in Teplice. The castle itself is located not in the city, but 8 km from it - in the town of Duchtsov, from which the castle received its name. The history of the castle dates back to the 13th century, when the castle was built by the Grabisici feudal lords.

Another Czech castle that has its own mysterious White Lady is Pernštejn. The White Lady, as you understand, is a ghost, and why another one? Just read the descriptions of a couple of fortresses, and it will become clear that at one time the Czech Republic was a country of curses and romantic young ladies.

  • The Czech lands, being located in the very center of Europe, have always aroused increased interest from their neighbors, and not only others. It is not surprising that fortresses and castles were erected in countless numbers in the Czech Republic. As usual, many of them later became ceremonial residences, some have reached us unchanged, and from others only ruins remain. In any case, each region of the country is ready to surprise with its masterpieces of castle construction.

A wedding ceremony in an austere Gothic or magnificent baroque castle is a dream that can come true in one of the castles in the Czech Republic.

The leader in the number of “must-sees” is, of course, the central region (Prague and the Central Bohemian Region). Cesky Sternberk, Karlstejn, Konopiste, Křivoklát, not to mention Prague Castle - each and every one of them deserves a visit.

No less interesting are the city of Kutna Hora with its richest silver mines, the Dobříš Palace, which amazes with the luxurious decoration of its rooms, as well as the delights of landscape architecture, and the Březnice Castle with its ancient furnishings from the 16th to 19th centuries: a large banquet hall, a unique Loksan library, dating back to 1558, and the armory.

The medieval castle Melnik, which belonged to the famous Lobkowicz family, is impressive. In addition to visiting the castle’s interiors, its visitors are offered a visit to the wine cellar with wine tasting from huge oak barrels. Outside the windows of the castle there is a beautiful view of the surrounding area - the confluence of the Elbe and Vltava surrounded by vineyards. And in the distance you can see the “foremother” of the Czech Republic - the legendary Mount Rzhip.

Žleby Castle was founded in the 13th century by the Lichtenburg family and thoroughly renovated in the 15th century, acquiring elements of the Renaissance and Baroque style. During the two-hour excursion you can see all the interiors of the castle, and in the summer there is also an exhibition contemporary art, located in the Great Tower. The interior of the castle has been carefully restored according to ancient drawings.

A 5-minute walk from the castle there is a zoo with white deer, falcons and other wild animals.

The castles of Žebrak and Točnik are closely connected not only territorially, but also historically - they were both residences of King Wenceslas IV, who, instead of resolving issues of national importance, spent all his time hunting around these very castles, which led to the saddest consequences for the country. Despite the fact that both castles have practically turned into ruins, there is a lot of interesting things in this tandem: in addition to the impressive ruins, they can boast that the cylindrical tower of Zhebrak offers a truly breathtaking view, and that a real bear lives in Tochnik.

Charles Koruna Castle is the brainchild of the eccentric architect Jan Santini Eichel. In a completely unexpected manner, he planned a castle in the shape of a crown, with a round rotunda hall and three rectangular wings. The owners of the castle, the Kinski family, have been breeding horses for a long time, and an entire exhibition is dedicated to this.

The northern regions of the Czech Republic are famous for the Baroque Duchtsov Castle, where the famous Casanova spent the last years of his life. And Detenice Castle, which is not so interesting in itself, but boasts a tavern with a perfectly recreated medieval setting: wooden tables and benches, skins on the walls, illuminated by candles and flames from the hearth. Don’t be surprised if the waiters are rude and throw plates and mugs on the table with a crash, shout the received order towards the kitchen right from the table, and offer food with their hands - after all, this is how it was in the Middle Ages. Beer from a local brewer is a special reason for a trip.

Another of the castles of the north - the impregnable Strshekov - proudly rises on the right bank of the Elbe. It is recommended to go here for inspiration: after visiting Stršekov, Wagner wrote the opera Tannhäiser, and no self-respecting Czech landscape painter can neglect the view from its walls.

On the spit, at the confluence of the Vltava and Otava, stands the “king of castles” - the Gothic Zvikov. Once upon a time it rose on a steep rock, which allowed it to withstand more than one siege. After the construction of the Orlik Dam, water came close to the foot of the castle walls, and now you can enjoy its reflection in the water surface by sailing on a steamboat that sails from the neighboring Orlik Castle.

Zvikov Castle was famous for its brewery. The nearby brewery is reviving the traditions of local production (address Zvíkovské Podhradí 92, tel. +420 382 285 660).

Lednice Castle begins its history in the 1222nd century, when it was first mentioned as a Gothic fortress. Following architectural fashion, it became a Renaissance castle, then became a Baroque residence, and finally became a Neo-Gothic palace at the end of the 19th century.

Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle - one of the most beautiful and most visited in the Czech Republic - was founded in the 13th century and initially served as a guard fortress. During its history, it changed owners more than once, each of whom rebuilt the castle to their own taste.

Recently, the castle has been open to visitors all year round. IN winter time it is especially charming at dusk - illuminated and surrounded by a snow-covered garden.

In the west of the Czech Republic, not far from Karlovy Vary, there is Loket Castle. Initially becoming an important outpost on the border with Germany, the castle later became the favorite residence of the Czech kings. And from 1822 to 1849, a prison functioned in the castle. In the cellars of Loket live ghosts, the dragon and the gnome Stratakal, who chases slobs with a comb. The castle is also famous for its chilling torture chamber, where moving life-size figures depict the "inquisitors" and their victims, uttering screams and moans.
