We are on Cyprus for the fourth time and of course we saw much more than best beaches in Cyprus, but today we will talk about them. Northern Cyprus I’m not touching on it yet - this is a separate topic and there will be a story about it.
On Cyprus There is five main tourist locations by the sea and not all beaches are suitable for swimming in my understanding, of course. Let's walk through them from southeast to northwest, in the order in which they are visible on the map of Cyprus. Protaras And Ayia Napu it could have been combined, but there are more good beaches there than anywhere else Cyprus, and the beach philosophy of these areas is different, so let them live separately. 
The best beaches in Protaras

Sunrise Beach (Flamingo Beach)– a classic long beach for family holidays. Almost ideal for families with children - light golden sand, gentle entrance to the water, entertainment on the beach, good infrastructure and many hotels on the first and second line of various sizes. The photo was taken in April before the start of the season - there are no sunbeds or people yet. 
Fig Tree Beach– fig tree beach, the most beautiful beach in Protaras. Regular semi-oval, fine light golden sand and incredibly emerald water. At the top you can sit in a “cafe with a view” and look at the sea for a long time. 
Konnos Beach– is between Ayia Napoi And Protaras, on the outskirts Cape Greco Natural Park
. This is ours for today favorite beach in Cyprus. Far from the main crowd, it is located in a bay, which is surrounded on all sides by rocks, emerald water and white sand. Sand is brought every season, but in the case of this beach everything is very organic and does not matter fundamentally. 
The best beaches of Ayia Napa
SandyBay (Vathia Gonia)– up to Nissi Beach he is far away, but overall good sandy beach of Ayia Napa, up to Nissi Beach You can walk along the path along the sea and admire the views.

I didn’t notice any special infrastructure there, it’s just a wild, but very beautiful place. It’s worth looking at it from above and then going down to the beach. 
Pissouri Beach– a beautiful small pebble beach near villages of Pissouri, many consider this place as an independent resort. But if you are mobile and in Cyprus for the first time, you should just stop by for a few hours to relax.
The best beaches in Paphos
Another well-known resort area that finds it difficult to decide on beaches. On one side there is a beautiful walking path along the sea several kilometers long, a cozy promenade and good hotels. On the other hand, there are practically no sandy and truly beautiful beaches here. There are several nice sandy beaches near the hotels to the left of the promenade Paphos if you stand facing the sea. I remember Alexander The Great Beach Hotel with frontal panoramic views of the sea 50 meters from the water and several hotels next to it.
We had an active program and rental car, so the location was unimportant - we chose apartments Panklitos Tourist Apartments in Paphos and were satisfied. An excellent budget option, run by a very nice Greek-Cypriot family, I recommend it.
