Bulgaria is a popular tourist destination for a holiday by the sea. The attractiveness of its resorts is not least due to its beaches. They are predominantly sandy, with rare exceptions, with developed infrastructure, very clean and ready to provide visitors with a lot of additional entertainment: boat rental, banana boat rides, diving instructor, etc.

Part of the coastline belongs to the territory of hotels and sanatoriums, but even in this case, entry is rarely completely limited to outsiders, but you will have to pay for it. This amount may include some services, for example, rental of a sun lounger, free use of a fresh water shower, etc. There are also completely gated complexes that offer guests maximum privacy.

Central beach of Varna

Located near Primorsky Park. Not too long, but wide. On the way to it you can stop by the planetarium or dolphinarium. There are no particular differences between them, only the latter has a bottom near the shore covered with stones, not sand.

Irakli

Located on the territory reserve park. There is practically no tourist infrastructure here - the lands are protected by the state. Access to the coastline is free. At some distance there is paid parking for cars. Dense forests come close to the water. The beach is narrow and long. From the required minimum: rental of sun loungers, mobile cafes, changing cabins, areas for sports games, designated conditionally.

Atliman

Located in the town of Kiten. Because of its position, it has another name – Northern. Covering: light sand. The bay to which it belongs is sheltered from the winds. The surrounding rocks create an additional barrier to gusty flows of cool air. The main entertainment of the beach is associated with the Zangador establishment: in the daytime you can have a snack here, and in the evening you can dance.

Central beach of Burgas

Located near the Marine Park. Medium in length, the width in some areas reaches 100 meters. Sand with impurities, which is why it has a dark color. The water is light, almost transparent. The sea is clear with frequent waves. There is little entertainment: water skiing, surfing, but there is no board rental.

Central beach of Byala

It comes close to hills covered with greenery. Long and not wide. The sand is light, and the water has a rich blue color. There are no separate areas or sun loungers on the beach, but rentals are available. Since the territory does not allow cafes and shops to open, you can only buy water and snacks from private traders. Entertainment: water slides, banana rides, kite flying, table tennis.

Review

The beaches are divided into three sections: northern, central and southern. The central one is wider than the others and more crowded. This is where the differences end. An embankment stretches along the coast. There are areas with installed umbrellas. They are free, as is entrance to the beach. On the land side, the beach is framed by hills and dense thickets. There is little entertainment; catamaran rentals operate irregularly.
