How is luggage transported?

The cost of overweight depends on the direction. For example, payment for excess weight on the Moscow-St. Petersburg flight will be 300 rubles per kilogram; if you pay for baggage early (more than 3 hours), a discount is provided.

General information

Passenger baggage allowed by the carrier to be transported in the cabin of the aircraft is classified as hand luggage and must be marked with a “Carry-on Baggage/Cabin” tag (exceptions in the Personal Belongings section) issued by the carrier and is transported free of charge, subject to:

Currently, at airports located in the Russian Federation, there are restrictions on the transportation of liquids, gels and aerosols in hand luggage. Baggage carried in a separate passenger seat

Baggage that requires special transportation conditions (for example, valuable, breakable, breakable items) may be accepted for transportation in a passenger seat in the aircraft cabin if:

• the passenger has agreed on this service with the airline in advance,
• luggage underwent special inspection for aviation security.

• crutches, canes, walkers, rollators, folding wheelchairs, used by a passenger and having dimensions that allow them to be safely placed on a shelf above the passenger seat or under the seat of the passenger seat in front,
• goods purchased in duty-free shops at the airport, packaged in a sealed plastic bag, the weight and dimensions of which allow them to be safely placed in the aircraft cabin and do not exceed the established free carry-on baggage allowance.

Passengers must check in their collapsible wheelchair as luggage. To move around on board the aircraft, such passengers are provided with an on-board wheelchair for temporary use. The maximum passenger weight is 250 kg, the width between the armrests is 34 cm.

A baby stroller*, including a cane, is transported in the luggage compartment of the aircraft as checked baggage in excess of the established allowance. 12.3. Free baggage allowance

12.3.1. An aircraft passenger has the right to carry his baggage within the established norm without additional payment (hereinafter referred to as the free baggage allowance).

12.3.7. The free baggage allowance does not apply to:

1. the passenger's belongings, regardless of their name and purpose, the dimensions of which when packed exceed the sum of three dimensions of 203 cm (oversized baggage);
2. the weight of one piece exceeds 32 kg;
3. televisions, tape recorders, radios, photo and video equipment, household and office equipment, cash registers weighing over 10 kg;
4. flowers, plant seedlings, edible greens, dried plants, branches of trees and shrubs with a total weight of more than 5 kg;
5. courier correspondence (shipments) and parcels accompanied by department specialists;
6. pets and birds, service dogs, with the exception of guide dogs accompanying passengers with a lack of vision (hearing).

12.3.8. Transportation of the said baggage is paid according to its actual weight, regardless of the passenger's other items transported as baggage.

12.3.9. The carrier, at the request of passengers who have a common purpose of travel, confirmed by documents, and traveling together on the same route to the same destination on the same aircraft (family, delegation, tourists, sports teams, etc.) may apply to these passengers and provide a group (total) free baggage allowance.

12.3.10. In addition to the free baggage allowance on all Airline flights, one passenger is allowed free transportation of one set of ski/skiing equipment in a special case. A set of ski/skiing equipment includes one pair of alpine or cross-country skis with poles or one snowboard, as well as one pair of specialized boots.

12.4. Hand luggage

12.4.1. Items carried by the passenger (hand luggage) are unchecked baggage and are accepted for carriage against the free baggage allowance.

12.4.2. As carry-on luggage, items are accepted whose weight and dimensions are established by the carrier and allow them to be safely placed in the aircraft cabin (on the luggage rack or under the seat). It is allowed to take on board the aircraft one piece of unchecked baggage (carry-on baggage): a) for Boeing 737 aircraft - weighing no more than 10 kg for domestic air transportation and 5 kg - for international air travel, the dimensions of which do not exceed 45X35X15 cm. b) for ATR aircraft - 42 - weighing no more than 5 kg, the dimensions of which do not exceed 45X35X15 cm.

12.4.3. When checking in hand luggage carried in the aircraft cabin, the carrier or its authorized agent issues the passenger a numberless “Hand Baggage” or “Cabin Baggage” tag for each presented seat, with the exception of the items listed in clause 12.4.4.

12.4.4. In addition to the established free baggage allowance and without charging a fee, the passenger has the right to carry the following things if they are with the passenger and not included in the baggage:

1. handbag or briefcase;
2. folder for papers;
3. umbrella;
4. cane;
5. bouquet of flowers;
6. outerwear;
7. printed materials for in-flight reading;
8. baby food for the child during the flight;

Note: Only baby cradles and strollers are allowed to be carried in the aircraft cabin, not exceeding the established size and weight standards for hand luggage.
