Multi-colored lakes of the Altai region. Altai Territory: lakes and their descriptions

It would be trivial to call Altai “the land of a thousand lakes,” especially since there are actually many more bodies of water on its territory. Among the reservoirs located in this amazing territory, there are lakes with fresh water, eat with salty food, many of them are considered medicinal. Some Altai lakes were formed immediately after the Ice Age.

Numerous travelers, lovers independent hikes When describing their impressions of visiting the lakes of the Altai Mountains, they often use words such as “magical”, “fabulous”, “amazing” and even “mysterious”.

Lakes of the Altai Territory

Many steppe lakes in the Altai Territory are considered medicinal; their water contains a high concentration of minerals. The water of some lakes is colored pink because of the crustaceans living in it. This gives the reservoirs an unusual, truly fantastic look.

Lakes of Gorny Altai

The reservoirs of the Altai Mountains are distinguished by their special, mysterious beauty. The water of those that originated from the glacier is very cold, often suspended ice floats in it, while in others it is quite possible to swim. These are the most visited.

Any tourist who includes any lake in Altai in his travel route will receive unforgettable experience from contemplating the unique beauty of the surrounding nature or will be able to feel the healing properties of the salt water of steppe lakes. You can easily find and select lakes on our map or in our lakes section.

The lakes of Altai are an excellent opportunity to relax with children and fun companies for those who have not yet saved up to go abroad, or for those who do not want to leave the city for a long time. Where can you swim in the hot summer and what else awaits vacationers on each of the Altai lakes?

Lake Yarovoye

In terms of infrastructure and leisure development, this lake is perhaps in first place. On the beaches of the lake there are cafes, children's entertainment, and special taps to wash off the salt. A water park with a children's pool was built near the beach area of Pier 22. Animation programs for children are held on the beach, and foam parties are held in the evening.

The healing resources of the lake and the amount of entertainment attract people here from year to year. large number people, which does not have the best effect on the village. During the peak season, crowds of people gather here. The discrepancy between the resources of a small Siberian village and the existing demand causes many conflicting reviews. A description of this recreation area and reviews from vacationers can be read in

Zavyalovo

Zavyalovo Lakes have gained unexpected popularity in recent years. There are three such lakes in Zavyalovo: salty, alkaline and fresh. The latter was called Crooked because of its shape.

The salt lake is famous for its healing properties. Blue clay, stored at the depths of the lake, according to experts, helps rejuvenate the body, improves the condition of the skin and joints.
IN fresh lake You can rinse off any remaining salt that tightens your skin, and it will also please fishing enthusiasts.

The lakes are located approximately 7 km from the village of Zavyalovo. The landscape is a steppe plain without any vegetation; at some distance there is a forest. The main type of accommodation on the lake is tents. Last year, the shores of the lake were simply dotted with tents and cars of tourists wanting to relax and improve their health.

However, the Power of Lakes base offers different accommodation options. There are also summer houses on the lake without amenities, and so-called “VIP houses”, which include a bathroom and shower, as well as rooms in a comfortable cottage at the edge of the forest. Prices for such accommodation range from 1100 rubles. for a summer house up to 3000 for a room in a VIP house.
The base is located closer to the fresh lake, where there is also entertainment: an inflatable slide on which you can have fun sliding into the water, a children's playground, a trampoline. Fans of water activities can ride bumper boats, catamarans, banana boats and jet skis.

In short, a completely normal option for a weekend getaway in nature.

Guseletovo

Next to the Zavyalovo lakes in the Romanovsky district there is another recreation area of the Altai Territory - the resort village of Guseletovo. Three kilometers from the village of Guseletovo there are two lakes: freshwater Lake Gorkoe and salt lake Mormyshanskoe. Popularly, the entire recreation area was called Guseletovo.

For a calm family vacation– this is a great place. True, the salt lake is very shallow. People are fiddling around in mud up to their knees, like in a puddle. But the leisure industry is well developed on the fresh lake. Standard inflatable water slides, jet skis. For children, there is a play area in the form of a soft corner on the shore.
As on other lakes, you can stay on the shore with tents or in summer houses. This opportunity is offered by the Guseletovskie Plyos base. There is a canteen on site where you can have lunch and dinner.

All three recreation areas (Yarovoye, Zavyalovo, Guseletovo) are located approximately on the same side, so if you have more time than a weekend, you can visit all three lakes.

Savvushki

Lake Kolyvanskoye is located in the Zmeinogorsk region near the village of Savvushka, so it is better known among the people by this name. This place is not suitable for lovers of mud treatments - the lake is fresh. But you can swim without fear of a salty coating on your body. The lake has the status of a natural monument of regional significance.

Holidays on this lake are completely wild. On the shores of the lake there are several bases in the form of summer houses with outdoor amenities. There is no special entertainment, there are no shops (you need to go to the nearest villages for groceries, or stock up in advance), but there are practically no people either. Perhaps it is this atmosphere of unity with nature, tranquility and isolation from civilization that attracts vacationers to Savvushki.

base " Sunny Beach»

We were passing through there. We stopped at the Sunny Beach base. We stayed there for about half an hour, and during this time we got the impression of a very calm family holiday in nature. Small summer houses, gazebos in which vacationers were already starting preparations for the evening barbecue, a friendly dog, a swing. By the way, the owner of the base promised to make a children's playground.

dog and gazebos in Sunny Beach

Part of the shore is covered with sand - it turns out to be a small but cute beach.

Although, as it turned out later, we didn’t see the most important beauties. After all, on the other side of the lake is the main attraction of Savvushki - bizarre piles of rocks that look like fairy-tale figures. The names of the rocks are also fabulous - Devil's Finger, Elephant and Three Monkeys. Here is the children's health camp "Chaika".

There are several bases with summer houses scattered around the perimeter of the lake. You can also stay in a tent.
On the lake you can swim, water ski, banana boat, and fish. They write that in some places there are elements of a water park, in the form of gutters descending directly into the lake, but it was not possible to find out more precisely. In a word, this interesting place We are still in the research stage.

Mountain Altai. Chuysky tract

If you haven’t found a suitable vacation spot for yourself in the Altai Territory, you can change your location and go to Gorny Altai. The sudden change of landscapes allows you to find yourself in another world without even leaving far from home. When, after passing the village of Srostki, at the next turn a huge mountain suddenly rises before your eyes, you immediately understand that the journey has begun.

Neither the shortcomings of the service nor the universally organized “honest taking of money” from tourists can kill the special energy of these places. By the way, the service in the Altai Mountains is still better developed than on the lakes of the Altai Territory. There are also well-equipped bases with infrastructure, leisure activities and even children's animation.

Another advantage of Gorny Altai is the variability of recreation. During one trip, you can swim in Lake Manzherok, ride the Turquoise Katun slides, and give children the opportunity to jump on the trampolines of the Rublyovka complex.

In a word, you can choose any kind of vacation, both active and sedentary, because there are also places where you can swim in the Altai Mountains. You can find out more about them.

This is also the Altai Mountains, but combining a visit to this attraction, included in the UNESCO list, with a visit to the Chuya Tract is not so easy. The normal road to Teletskoye comes from Gorno-Altaisk. We are not considering extreme options for mountain crossings here.

What can you do with children on Lake Teletskoye? Swim in a mountain river, take a boat ride on the lake, pet a wolf... I won’t tell you in advance. If you are wondering what kind of vacation Teletskoye Lake has in store for you, read.

As you can see, the opportunities for recreation in Altai and the Altai Mountains are quite varied. You will still find your option. And if you have already vacationed in one of these places, you can leave your review below.
Have a wonderful summer holiday everyone!

The most unusual lakes of Altai

Thanks to the diversity of landscapes, each body of water in the Altai Territory is beautiful in its own way. For example, Lake Zerkalnoe, located in the Barnaul ribbon forest, is surrounded by light-coniferous relict forests, giving coastline special charm.

Lake Svetloye, also known as Swan Lake, is an amazing corner of nature where the water is crystal clear and transparent to the very bottom. Thanks to the abundance of springs, the reservoir does not freeze even in the most severe frosts, and the water temperature does not drop below + 5 - 6 degrees C. Therefore, ducks and swans spend the winter here, which can be admired from special viewing platforms.

The small lake Beloye is surrounded by granite shores and has a regular round shape. In the center of the lake there is a small island where, according to legend, the famous Ural industrialist Akinfiy Demidov was engaged in the production of coins, bypassing the court of Empress Elizabeth. In 2010, the reservoir was given the status natural monument.

The bitter-salty Raspberry Lake has been known since the time of Catherine II. A unique feature of the reservoir is the pinkish-crimson color of the water, which is obtained due to the vital activity of special planktonic crustaceans. Since ancient times, pink salt was mined from the bottom of the lake and delivered to the court, with which the empress surprised overseas guests.

Beauty and benefits

Lake Gorkoye in the Novichikhinsky district of Altai has the status of a natural monument and is famous for its therapeutic mud and picturesque sandy beaches. The reservoir attracts not only those wishing to improve their health, but also kitesurfing enthusiasts.

On the shore of another lake, Gorkoye, located in the Yegoryevsky district, the popular Lebyazhye sanatorium has been hospitably welcoming vacationers for a hundred years. People come here to enjoy the healing silt mud, mild climate and mineral water, similar in composition to Essentuki 17.

Lake Bolshoye Yarovoye is surrounded by an almost flat treeless plain, and part of the coastline is indented by deep ravines. Since 1972, spa treatment has been carried out here, and the popularity of this place is explained by the particularly healing water, similar in composition to the waters of the Dead Sea.

Paradise for tourists

Freshwater Lake Aya is a favorite vacation spot for many, where you can stay at one of the camp sites, swim in the summer, sail on boats and catamarans, and skate in the winter. Lake Ai is located in one of the depressions of the Altai Mountains and, according to local legend, it was formed where the Moon descended to earth to save people from a terrible cannibal.

Lake Kolyvan, which the locals simply call Savvushka, is surrounded by piles of small mountain ridges of the most bizarre shape, and the lake itself will remind a person with a rich imagination gem sapphire enclosed in a granite frame.

Kulundinskoye is one of the most large lakes Altai, with an area of 728 km 2. Its depth is only 2.5 - 3 m, but the lake never freezes, and in the summer it warms up to 25 degrees. It is not surprising that thousands of lovers of nature and picturesque landscapes strive to come here.

Everyone who travels through Siberia is sure to bring with them numerous photos of lakes in the Altai Territory, which captivate with their original beauty and diversity.

If we talk about fruitful fishing, then in this context we cannot fail to mention the Altai Territory, which is famous for its beautiful lakes, clean rivers and large fish.

The so-called mountain fishing attracts the attention of not only local citizens, but also residents of other regions of the Russian Federation, which clearly indicates a really good time and good catches.

It is worth noting that the number of reservoirs in Altai has long exceeded the mark of 7,000 units, 90% of which are artificial lakes.

Altai is a mountainous region that differs from other regions not only in its relief and enveloping nature, but also in the species of fish that cannot shock you with their quantity, but, can pleasantly surprise you with their considerable size:

  • Peled;
  • Trout;
  • Pike;
  • Roach;
  • crucian carp;
  • Tench;
  • Podleschik;
  • Grayling;

Good to know! The above range of inhabitants of the Altai fauna is a list of fish that are guaranteed to appear before the fisherman as a catch; you just need to be well prepared for fishing: choose the right gear and prepare the bait/bait correctly.

Where can you go fishing in Altai for free?

And although it was stated that there are 90% more lakes in Altai than rivers, this is not at all an indication that you can also go fishing for free, often on lakes. No, the fact is that this region is mountainous, so the natural formation of ponds and lakes is rare.

This means that most artificial reservoirs were created by private individuals, and therefore are paid for. The same cannot be said about rivers, of which there are only a few, but fishing on them can be fruitful.

So, in order not to make the reader wait long, here is a list of natural rivers, fishing on which will definitely bring the desired results:

  • Chuuya- a river that is considered one of the most visited in Altai. Moreover, this body of water has international fame, because rafting competitions are often held on its waters. Regarding fishing, the most active fish here is considered to be grayling, fishing for which it is advisable to start closer to autumn and until the end of spring;
  • Ursul- one of the longest rivers in the region (140 kilometers). Such inhabitants of the reservoir as taimen can reach a weight of 14 kilograms, while grayling can reach a maximum of 2 kilograms. These are quite excessive standards, therefore, every fisherman simply needs to try his luck on this river;
  • Sumulta- this river has the reputation of being one of the longest and coldest rivers in Altai. Here you can catch more than 5 species of fish, which often bite very well in clear weather. By the way, it is recommended to fish further upstream (closer to the mountains), which will bring more catch, at least that’s what the rumor says;

Artificial lakes and ponds, including quarries, are quite actively and purposefully increasing in number.

How to catch more fish?

Every avid fisherman undoubtedly has his own secrets for successful fishing. Over the course of conscious fishing, I myself have found quite a few ways to improve the bite. I share my TOP:
  1. Bite activator. Stimulates a strong appetite in fish, attracting them even in cold water. It's all to blame pheromones included in its composition. It's a pity that Rosprirodnadzor wants to ban its sale.
  2. Correct selection of gear. Read the appropriate manuals for the specific type of gear on the pages of my website.
  3. Lures based pheromones.
You can get the rest of the secrets of successful fishing for free by reading my other materials on the site.

Since it would be stupid to list the features of many thousands of lakes, it would be more reasonable to note only a few, the attention of fishermen to which is more special:

  • Shibaevo Lake, which has a rather long length for its type - 76 kilometers (many rivers can be inferior to this size). The angler is attracted by the fact that fishing here is not only free, but also surprisingly fruitful: many species of fish such as pike, bream, carp, perch and roach;
  • Petrovskoe - unique lake, at first glance, having nothing “sort of” about it. So, besides perch, few people live in this fauna. But, according to the fishermen themselves, this reservoir is ideal for winter fishing, within which it is fashionable to catch not such a small amount of perch;
  • Utkul- a fairly small body of water. But this modest fact pales against the background of a good bite, beautiful nature and masses of fish: chebak, pike and perch;

Paid fishing in Altai

In this mountainous region, of course, there is a place, because, as was emphasized earlier, many lakes are made by man, and they are founded at restaurants, cafes, baths, but still they are often located on the territories of tourist centers, where citizens from all over the country come: who - some to admire nature, some to give a barbecue, and some to have a good fishing.

The best camp sites

It is very difficult to obtain the title of the best in this context, because with such incredible competition it is difficult to name any lake more or less suitable for fishing.

Therefore, it would be correct to start from the opinions and reviews of the fishermen themselves, who, in their “vacation impressions,” noted the following range of the best, in their opinion, bases:

  • Baden-Baden- a tourist base, which is located near the city of Barnaul. The landmark for non-residents is the village of Mallorca, not far from which there is a “paradise” for the most avid fisherman. The big advantage of this base is that it receives visitors both in summer and winter, and around the clock. Citizens who come to fish will be able to get their fill of such catch as pike, perch and crucian carp;
  • Albagan- a small area on which there is a small, two-story cottage and a cafe. Also, those who wish can spend the night in tents, which can be pitched next to the mini-hotel. As for fish, immediately after throwing a fishing rod into the water you will be able to catch roach, perch or pike;
  • Visyuki- this “institution” consists of a reservoir and a large estate, in which there is no local residents and everyone could spend the night. Regarding the fauna, it is inhabited by only two species: gudgeon and grayling. The location of this base is simple, it is located near the village of Solnechnoye;

Prices

Having monitored many tourist bases and their pricing policies, we can say with confidence that fishing in Altai is not a cheap pleasure.

So, for example, it will be difficult to find a price lower than 800 rubles for entry. “Establishments”, the range of services of which includes not only fishing, but also accommodation, food and other types of entertainment will cost a citizen much more - from 2,200 to 5,000 rubles.

Features of fishermen in Altai at different times of the year

Unlike other regions of the Russian Federation, which are also quite natural for fishing, Altai is significantly different in its weather conditions and geographical location, which greatly influences all the resulting forms of life, including the fishing industry.

  • In summer you can fish exclusively in private reservoirs, where the fish are looked after and have long been adapted to certain conditions and rhythm of life, although even in camp sites in summer the bite is not very good;
  • Autumn- this is the very time that is called the “opening of the season” for fishing, because it is the beginning of September that is usually called the period when the fish begin to be active. In autumn you can fish not only on lakes, but also on rivers;
  • in winter The fishing is very good. This is probably the most successful time, during which you can catch a lot of fish, especially such as grayling and taimen;
  • in spring The fishing season is coming to an end. And although spawning begins in early May, already at the end of the month, as many sources say, you can’t expect a good bite;
